Las Vegas Shooter's Girlfriend Speaks Out
The girlfriend of the Las Vegas shooter, Marilou Danley said that she was not aware that he was planning violence of any kind. She flew back to the United States on Tuesday after the shootout took place, killing 59 people and injuring more than 500.
She also said in a statement that she came back to the US from the Philippines voluntarily. The statement was read by her attorney outside the FBI's Los Angeles field office, where she is being interviewed by investigators, US media reported.
She is said to be devastated by the "awful events" but she knew her boyfriend to be a quiet and caring man, the statement reads. She added saying that over two weeks ago, Paddock bought her a cheap ticket to the Philippines to visit her family. He later wired her money for her and her family to buy a house there but she feared that it was a way for him to break up with her.
